Jane began her career in accounting in 1985 gaining Chartered Accountant status in 1995 and first became a partner in a Chartered Accounting practice in 2002.

Jane was an integral part of the merger that created Evolution Advisers in 2004 and continues to ensure that the business evolves and adapts to the changing needs of its clients. This is achieved by gaining a true understanding of each client’s present situation and future goals so that she can provide relevant business and taxation advice to assist her clients throughout their business and personal journey.

Believing that a great business starts with its people, Jane prides herself on building a team at Evolution that is knowledgeable, passionate, and genuine – putting client needs and goals first. 

Jane enjoys giving back to the community by being actively involved with a number of not-for-profit committees. She lives in vibrant Cooks Hill with her husband Ryan where they enjoy the lifestyle that’s close to the ever changing CBD, harbour and beaches. Devoted to her two daughters and new grandson who arrived in late 2024 family is at the centre of life for Jane. A love for the theatre, dance and travel keeps life busy but Jane thrives on the balance with the aim to enjoy all life has to offer.

Jo Bright

partner - Director | Corporate

Jo joined Evolution Advisers in 2012 working as a strategic business adviser on special client projects and taking care of our Corporate HR, Marketing, and Business Development. 

With overall responsibility for the operational management of the business as well as assisting with the development and execution of the Strategic Plan Jo enjoys working within the coporate side of Evolution. In 2022 Jo was appointed to a Director role on the Evolution Board and became an equity partner.  Jo brings multiple skills to the role thanks to her overall business experience in previous management and advisory roles.

Jo strives to support and empower every team member to achieve their best in their roles and for our clients.  She is passionate about our community and works to ensure Evolution Advisers makes a positive contribution to many important causes.

Jo is a Past President of Newcastle Business Club and serves as the Independent Chairperson on the Board of the retirement village, Elements of Toronto.

When not at work, Jo may be found walking the dog around beautiful Merewether Beach, where she resides with her husband, Andrew, or taking the opportunity to relax in some of the many cafes in the area when she is not busy with their family of four boys, one daughter and her treasured grand daughter.

Scott Faraday-Bensley

Partner - Accounting and Advisory

Scott worked at Evolution prior to the merger of the two original firms in 2004. His work as a Business Adviser can be challenging but extremely rewarding.

His specialisation in tax sees him spending a lot of time advising on complicated and specialised personal tax returns. Scott finds his wide variety of clients an added bonus.

He is passionate about golf and plays as often as he can. He also enjoys time at the beach with his family and is a passionate member of Redhead Surf Club and a supporter of many SLSC in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie area. Scott became an equity partner in 2025.
